Mj   began her career in Music 2 years ago from scratch!! Teaching herself a rhythmic acoustic sound & style, her repertoire has grown into 47 original songs reflecting her traumas, truths and communities.

A self described "Musical Entreprenuer", Mj   decided to follow her childhood dream of being a © 'Canadian Singin SongWritin STAR' !!   With All Canadian content like   ©   'Giant Tiger Blues'     &
©   'Fireman's Boot Ball'  , she'll make it.

Proud of her homeland, heritage & communities Mj sings about everyday life in rural Canada and offers stories that range from the History of Canada's oldest Indigenous/Black Community, Africville ; which was 'bulldozed' to the ground 30 years ago by the City of Halifax.

Songs like  : ©   'crazy dead',   ©   'i yam' ;   & ©   'A Truckman's Son' , span over 200 years of her Families History including the Great George Dixon ; the First Black Man to hold a World Title in Boxing.

Mj keeps her ancestor's & neighbor's accomplishments, struggles & memory alive with songs that reflect, inspire, teach and honour.
